Classmethod to Support Founder and Designer of KAEIU
Every year employees at Classmethod can choose an individual, business or public cause to sponsor through Classmethod’s Social Contribution Program. This program is an initiative to grant employees “access to certain funds which they can invest into people or organizations.” Through this program, Classmethod hopes to develop and grow valuable connections to society.
This year I decided to sponsor Maria Lee-Heller, founder and CEO of KAEIU. You can read the inspiring story behind her personal journey of finding KAIEU here. KAIEU is a brand of stylish and supremely functional bags, designed to transition with the different stages of a woman’s life. The brand began with styles designed exclusively for mothers, but Maria’s bags have quickly gathered a much wider audience due to their versatility and style.
I chose to sponsor Maria for Classmethod’s Social Contribution Program because everything about what she does I find inspiring. Having become a first-time mom last year, I know how challenging it can be to juggle work and raising a child.
Maria sells her bags online, as well as in pop up markets across NYC, where she lives with her husband and son. Her Instagram stories are also fun to watch because you get to see what it’s like running a small business. She operates her business out of an office in her apartment. You can find her Instagram here.
The money from Classmethod’s Social Contribution program will help her with the various costs of running her business and promoting her brand.
Below are some of Maria’s products which she designed.
